We had the best time @ Casa Flamingo! We had family all gather from Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina at this festive, fun beach home. The views, the location and the home was so perfect for our group. So many conveniences and very well planned out. The kitchen was perfect offering two of everything; from dishwashers, cook tops and fridges. We had plenty of room for cooking and meal planning as well. There was even an extra fridge/freezer down on the first floor to hold the excess. We sat out on the decks at all times of the day – plenty of seating for that and plenty of seating for dinner time when we would sit down together. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will want to come back year after year!

Best Vacation Ever!

This house is amazing for all age groups. Plenty of room and the kitchen is a dream. We had plenty of space, house is close to shopping and restaurants, especially for our elderly who didn’t want to walk far. We were very fortunate to meet the owner our last night in the house. She was delightful and it was fun learning about all the casa houses. We will definitely be back and can’t begin to explain the amazing character of this house

We absolutely loved spending time at casa flamingo! We thought we’d have to cancel our annual girl’s trip this year due to Covid (we usually go to Cancun). We had so much fun in Charleston we may permanently change our destination! The pool, beach access and fabulous gathering are upstairs mad this one of the most enjoyable trips we’ve ever taken. Thank you for the funky art, etc. it was so fun and we had a great time pointing out all the various curiosities to each other. We hope to be back next year!

Been renting in the OBX for 20 years and we changed it up this year to try IOP. Absolutely love it. By far the best house we’ve ever rented. Loved everything and decor- so fun! Themed rooms were great. Kitchen is incredibly well equipped and thoughtfully planned out. Would love to rent again may look at the margarite house too! Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing beachfront stay on IOP

This was our first stay at Casa Flamingo and it’s going to be hard to ever stay anywhere else! The house is simply amazing. It has everything you could ever want or need for a week at the beach. We had 2 kids (ages 3, 4) and 10 adults. There was plenty of beds, space, and fun for everyone. The top floor kitchen and common area with the view of the ocean is unreal. The pool is awesome and lights up different colors at night. If you like to cook, this is the best beach rental kitchen ever (also has 2 gas grills). The house made our week and the kids are still asking to go back to the “Flamingo House”! Location is also very close to all the beach bars and shops on IOP. We had a couple very small issues with the pool and deck area and they were both resolved within hours of a phone call. Great service too!! We will most definitely be back!!!

Amazing and more!

Casa Flamingo was absolutely amazing for a large group. The location can’t be beat. We stayed for a week and mostly rotated between the glorious pool and beach each day. We had 5 families in all and kids and adults had a blast in the pool. It was spacious for everyone. While most of the bedrooms are pretty small, the house itself is so large that everyone could spread out and it didn’t matter. It was nice to escape to a bedroom on ground-level to sleep where you couldn’t hear the night owls who stayed up late. We all absolutely loved the kitchen, it was a dream! It was so thoughtfully laid out with two of everything. The drawers are all labeled with their contents so it’s easy to find everything and keep it organized. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again!

We have stayed at Casa Flamingo for a week for the past three summers. Our experience has always been 5 stars. Tina, the rental agent, has always been great. She is always available to answer any question I may have. The property is great. The location to the beach and to the town could not be better. The kitchen is wonderful. Two of everything (i.e. stove, refrigerator, dishwasher). We will be staying again next summer.

My wife and I were invited to join wonderful longtime friends to celebrate a very special event at Casa Flamingo. Not withstanding the initial attack by a flock of friendly flamingos on our arrival, the time with friends as well as the new friends we made while here, we leave with a little sadness. Remodeled 8 bedroom house on the beach!!

Our family, 3 sisters and their families, stayed at the Casa Flamingo for a week this summer. We have stayed there before, and keep returning for the beach and the pink house!! This year we were so impressed with all the renovations!!! Double kitchens is wonderful when a large group is preparing and eating meals!! King size beds were great, as were the remodeled bathrooms. Everything was clean and inviting! We walked down a block to eat at Coconut Joe’s, or shop for souvenirs, or eat ice cream! Everything is so convenient at the Casa!! It’s really cool to sit on the top deck at night under the stars! And the new hot tub with blue tooth music is awesome!

Amazing property! All the amenities you need and more! Perfect location with beach and pool and walking distance to shops and restaurants . The house is really one of a kind. High quality with each room decorated so unique it’s a conversation piece. Every room has access to a bathroom there is ample space for everyone. The kitchen/storage and grill make it a must for grilling in and enjoying the plentiful dining space. There is so much seating for everyone. The views from all three decks are breathtaking. We knew from the pictures that this was likely the most unique house we’ve ever rented and it didn’t disappoint! From the themed bedrooms to the pirates and flamingos even after a week we were still discovering “new” things about this house! The location of this house is absolutely perfect for whatever you are looking to do in IOP – pool, ocean, bars/restaurants and shops are all within a very short walk and the access to the area’s other attractions are all within 15-20 minutes. Wonderful house, wonderful location and most of all a wonderful vacation. We will definitely be back!

Beach time fun!

Our family gets together every other year at the beach and Casa Flamingo was the most creative house we have ever stayed in. Even as we were packing up we saw new decorations. The pool was amazing and the chairs and swings on the decks were comfortable and such high quality. We love playing games and visiting and the extra large table was perfect. Coming up the stairs to the top floor with the wall of windows and the view said it all “WOW”. Being walking distance to the little town was so great. We walked to dinner, shopping and of course ice cream. The drink fridge was wonderful to have. With that many people in the house it was great to have cold drinks all the time. The only thing I would improve on would be the kitchen…having a second dishwasher, a stand alone ice maker, and a larger oven or even a double oven would have made it easier when cooking for such a large group. I will say it was great to have 2 coffee pots (regular and Keurig)- the coffee drinkers loved that. After getting together for over 20 years at various beaches this was the first time at the end of the week I was not wishing for my own bed. The beds are wonderful and comfortable!!! It is nice to see a house where the owner obviously cares about the comfort of the guests and is not just putting the cheapest furnishings in she can find. Highly recommend this property to others (but not the week I want to rent it 🙂 🙂 )

Beach fun for a big crew!

Casa Flamingo was the perfect nest for our flock of 16. Everyone had their own space, bathrooms were ample, and large common spaces made hanging out together comfortable. The decor was a blast for everyone from the kids to the grandparents. It was great having both a pool and beach access and Charleston just a short drive away. We loved have multiple fridges, and the kitchen was amply large for the personal chef we had cooking us dinner part of our stay. We’d highly recommend Casa Flamingo to others!

Family Vacation

House was exactly as presented in the pics – awesome. We had a large extended family vacation ages 6 months to 74 years old. We could have used a larger house – had to rent a 2 BR condo as a backup but the dining room was large enough that we were able to share most meals. Only had two maintenance items that were addressed promptly by courteous staff. The location was within walking distance (2 blocks) to shopping/ice cream/groceries. Pool and Kiddie pools were great. We would definitely recommend this house.

We really enjoyed our visit. Great location. We had four different families and it never felt like we were cramped at all. The décor was different but the layout of the house was fantastic. Owner did a nice job to accommodate large parties (eg two grills). Only slight nuisance was the ants by the pool. We were able to keep them at bay but if you did not make it a specific task they were resilient. Really great views!

Just got back from Casa Flamingo and I’m still glowing from the joyous vacation my family had. Everything was perfect–lots of room for all of us (family of 10)–huge kitchen, family rooms, beautiful pool. The ocean was practically right outside the door. We got up every morning for the glorious sunrises and got lucky with a full moon rising out of the water last Sunday. There is no place like Isle of Palms–especially if you stay at Casa Flamingo!

This house was the perfect place for an extended family of 15 to stay in together for the week. The house has tremendous character and was decorated in a fun/clever way. The layout was great with the various levels and loved the immediate beach access. The location of the house itself was perfect for going out to local restaurants or into Charleston. Many places in walking distance of house as well. For a close family we still didn’t feel as if we were on top of each other. The backyard pool was beautiful, private and also cool for nighttime swimming. Would highly recommend this house. Can’t wait to go back for the next big family vacation/celebration.

We splurged this year to get this house, and boy are we so glad we did. It was so worth it!!!! Every room has a king bed (new mattresses throughout) and was themed. It is so decorated that we were still finding stuff towards the end of the week that we had not seen yet!!! So much personality in the house. And the views, OMG, words cannot explain. And the pools, they were great, even in October after a hurricane had come close, they were clean and warm for the kids!!!! We vacation at IOP in the summer and the fall with our family/friends, and I wish we could get this house every time!!!!!!

Fun memories for the whole family!

We brought our whole family to spend a week at Casa Flamingo, 14 people in all from age 2 months to 87 years and one child in a wheelchair. We had a fabulous time. Everyone chose their chairs and took pictures of their bedroom decor to share when they got back home. Thank you for sharing your house with us:)! We loved loved loved it. This was the first time in over twenty years our extended families have been able to vacation together and we had a great time. We enjoyed the decor. Our six year old grandson sat in the “I don’t cook” chair every meal, because he said he doesn’t cook:) We all had an awesome time sitting on the upper deck on the swings watching the beach. Only problem we had the grandkids were disappointed the pool was not heated. They tried so hard to swim but could only last a short time because they were cold. We would loved to have rented the house again for July 4th week but its already booked. But we definitely will rent this house again. A great time was had by all!

Inspired getaway

Just enjoyed a fun filled weekend with twenty close friends at the gorgeous and whimsical Casa! The delightfully and artfully curated rooms inspired endless conservation. The pool by the beach couldn’t be beat. All of the island hot spots are in walking distance. And the rental company was fast to respond and repair the small issues that arose (a broken toilet flusher and a stalled garbage disposal.) This destination instantly became a must stay for our annual girls trip. Can’t wait to return again and again!

What an awesome place to visit. Fifteen ladies ventured into Casa Flamingo for a week of fun and activity. The house was just a hoot with all the different décor in every room. So many things to take in and remember. The house was fully furnished, kitchen well stocked, etc. etc. House has been well taken care over the years. The pool was awesome and provided a lot of fun. There was sufficient room for all 15 of us to spread out and enjoy our time at the Casa Flamingo. Previous review addressed the inability to move furniture around. We fully understood the reasoning behind this. I would not want to decorate this huge home and then have renters remove or destroy it. Good thinking on the part of the owner. House is close to some wonderful restaurants, and close to historical Charleston. Would come back again and again only to another Casa owned by this owner. Thank you for a great time and the joy your home brought to me.

3rd Visit to Casa Flamingo!

3rd visit to Casa Flamingo (4th time in one of your lovely homes)! All had a great time – water temp warm & air temp – wonderful!! 2 little girls (age 5 & 2) loved the pink house! We adhere strictly to the house rules – remove shoes, fix cold drink… etc! We especially like walking down to eat at Coconut Joe’s! Biking thru IOP is relaxing AND “hurray” for the new Harris Teeter Store! No more over the connector for anything! Thank you for your hospitality. We love making family memories here!
